Magnesium chloride flakes are small white flakes of magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2.6H2O), with a  MgCl2 content of 47%. Magnesium chloride flakes are often used in oxychloride cement, better known as sorel cement. These flakes are also used for gritting the roads. The hygroscopic properties of magnesium chloride flakes make it extremely suitable against the dust on the roads and the building sites.

It’s used in:

abrasive industry;

sorel cement for industrial floorings;

catalyst in textile finishing processes;

treatment of sewage and industrial effluents;

fertiliser mixtures;

animal feed compositions;

oil drilling;

artificial sea water;

ice and dust control.
