Magnesium sulphate is an inorganic salt ( chemical compound ) containing magnesium, sulfur and oxygen with the formula MgSO4. It is often encountered as the heptahydrate sulfate mineral epsomote (MgSO4·7H2O), commonly called Epsom salt. The magnesium sulphate technical is not an hazardous neither a toxic substance and it is not flammable. It is readily soluble in water and other solutions. Its applications are in constructions, pulp and detergent industries, for the production of plastic materials, adhesives, refractory materials, pigments ecc.
