The potassium tetra-oxalate is a white powder with the typical odour. It is not an inflammable product, neither oxiding nor soluble in water. Chemically the potassium tetra-oxalate is stable under the normal conditions of employment and storage. Put in contact with warm surfaces or flames it decomposes giving rise to formic acid and monoxide of carbon. It is not dangerous when shipped.
